Q. What are AIR OPTIX lenses made of?
A. AIR OPTIX lenses are made of a revolutionary, patented Silicone Hydrogel material.
Q. How does Silicone Hydrogel help the eye?
A. It's unique structure keeps plenty of oxygen flowing to the cornea (the front part of the eye) and the surface treatment ensures the lens stays wet and moves freely on the eye. This means reduced redness for whiter, healthier looking eyes.
Q. Why is oxygen important in maintaining whiter, healthy-looking eyes?
A. Good vision requires a healthy cornea and a healthy cornea needs a high level of oxygen. When the cornea does not receive enough oxygen, the eye becomes stressed - typical symptoms are irritation, dryness, discomfort and redness.
